Tupac Shakur is easily one of the most beloved figures in hip hop, and has been honored in various ways since his untimely death, including his infamous hologram at 2012’s Coachella music festival. The late legend will once again be paid tribute to, as the Hollywood Walk of Fame committee has announced that the rapper will receive a star for recording.
Tupac will be inducted into the Walk Of Fame alongside musicians such as Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry and Rick Springfield, as well as actors like Orlando Bloom, Matthew McConaughey, and Liam Neeson. Comedian Phil Hartman will also receive a posthumous star.
Looking at the list of names, it seems strange that it took 17 years for the Walk Of Fame to honor Pac, but regardless, it is good to see his talent recognized.
