Trump’s Campaign Manager Bill Stepien Tests Positive For COVID-19

2 Min Read

The campaign manager of Donald Trump, Bill Stepien has tested positive to the novel coronavirus.

According to Complex news, Stepien was experiencing “mild flu-like symptoms.”

He is expected to remain quarantined until he recovers, which means he will now be working remotely. Deputy campaign manager Justin Clark, meanwhile, will now “oversee” the team’s Arlington headquarters.

Stepien is the latest member in Trump’s team to test positive to COVID-19. RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and former White House adviser Kellyanne Conway have also tested positive to the virus.

Meanwhile Sean Conley, the physician to Donald Trump, has said that the president no longer has a fever and is not currently on oxygen to help him breathe.

“The president is doing very well,” said Conley, adding that the medical team is “extremely happy with progress the president has made.”

The president contracted coronavirus and was moved to the Walter Reed Medical Centre, a military facility outside Washington, on Friday, in what his team said was a move taken out of an abundance of caution.

Trump tweeted early Friday morning that he and the first lady had tested positive.

But Conley said on Saturday that Trump was “72 hours” into his treatment, raising questions about why the president would then attend such events and when the president knew he was infected.
