US President Donald Trump has called on the Senate to ask former President Barack Obama to testify in a conspiracy theory against his Democratic rivals which he named “Obamagate.”
This act is against Washington’s unwritten rule which is that sitting presidents and ex-presidents avoid public clashes.
However, Trump, in a tweet has said that “the first person I would call to testify about the biggest political crime and scandal in the history of the USA, by FAR, is former President Obama”.
APF report disclosed that Trump is claiming that Obama’s administration and a “deep state” tried to scuttle his presidency by looking into his contacts with Russian entities.
Trump wrote to Lindsey Graham who chairs the Senate judiciary committee and one of his most loyal Republican Allies in a tweet saying, “Just do it”.
Graham however replied that “I don’t think now’s the time for me to do that. I don’t know if that’s even possible.”
Obama also seemingly replied Trump with his tweet, “vote.”.
