Americans have taken to the streets to protest the announcement of Republican candidate, Donald J. Trump as the winner of the just concluded presidential election.
Crowds of angry Americans gathered across streets in the United States to register their dissatisfaction at the election result as they continuously chanted, “Trump not our president”.
Some angry protesters took their protest to new heights by setting fire to public and private property, while other protesters smashed windows.
The Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton supporters, who were captured on camera, were seen setting fire to the United State’s flag on the streets of Portland, Oregon.
Clinton’s supporters, who proceeded to burn tyres in dustbins were captured chanting, “Whose streets? Our streets”, “Not Our President” and “F*** Donald Trump”.
Other Americans were captured burning an effigy of the President-elect.
Donald Trump, who has been announced as the winner of the US Presidential election, will be sworn into office in January 2017.
