The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose’s ally, Abiodun Agbele who was picked up by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC in connection with illegal funds from the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA has slammed anti-graft agency, EFCC with a N500 million suit.
The presiding judge over the case, Justice Olukayode Adeniyi of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Apo, Abuja has fixed Friday for the hearing of the N500 million suit filed.
Abiodun Agbele is also seeking the court to issue an order releasing him from the anti-graft agency’s custody.
Agbele who was reportedly arrested on June 27 in the suit file by his counsel, Mike Ozekhome, SAN and Olalekan Ojo claimed his fundamental rights has been violated and hence is seeking the court to declare his arrest and detention unlawful and award N500m as compensatory damages against the EFCC.
