American Singer, Trey Songz born Tremaine Neverson may be faced with jail term should he be proved culpable in a case of assault against an officer of the law.
The singer has been accused of assaulting a police officer at the back stage of his Detroit concert which held on December 28.
The singer in the ongoing case rejected a plea deal that would have earned him a reduced punishment in the felony case filed against him.
Trey Songz was arraigned in court on Friday at the Wayne County Circuit Court in Los Angeles and he refused the offer which would earn him two years probation as part of his punishment for assaulting the officer of the law.
The singer who had warned that no one should dare cut him off was seen in the clips shared on social media assaulting the officer after he cut him off.
The singer went ballistic and beyond control when his microphone was turned off as the video showed him thrashing the stage, uprooting the glass barrier and flinging it.
