Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to a viral video in which the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris appeared to have difficulties reading his speech.
According to Voice of Liberty, which tweeted the video, the incident happened on Monday when Idris visited Kano to inaugurate the police technical intelligence unit in the state.
Watch video:
The video had generated widespread comments from Nigerians, with many blaming dyslexia, a reading disability, for the embarrassing situation.
Yet many others said that the video has been doctored to portray the police IG in bad light.
But reacting to the video, Fani-Kayode said, “Our I-G of Pol. needs prayers and we must treat him with compassion. What happened to him whilst reading his infamous “transmission” speech was not ordinary. He is the victim of dark spirits and satanic forces. We must not gloat over it or laugh at him. Instead we must pray for him.”
