A middle-aged man, Tersoo Iwanger, popularly known as Steco, and his girlfriend, Aisha, have been killed by unknown persons in Gboko in the Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State.
Both lovers who were found in a pool of blood were said to have been shot several times on Sunday
According to some resident, Tersoo was investigating the killing of a pharmacist in the town alongside other youths.
This according to them could have made the killers to come after him and his house was stormed around 6am when he and Aisha were still in bed.
One of the residents said, “Steco along with some youths in Gboko were investigating the killing of a pharmacist, which has now resulted in his death.
“They arrested one of the gang members shortly after the murder of the pharmacist and handed him over to the police. The killers saw him as a potential threat.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, John Bako, said that it was a case of two gangs fighting.
