A female passenger who is believed to be travelling abroad for medical treatment has died at the international wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
The un-named passenger was preparing to board an Etihad Airways flight when she suffered a bout of pain which caused her to rush to the toilet where she was found dead.
Details of the circumstances surrounding the death of the middle-aged lady remain sketchy at press time.
When contacted, the spokesman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Yakubu Dati, confirmed the incident, but said details would be made available latter.
This is not the first time an occurrence of this nature will take place at the airport, as an envoy of a prominent European nation collapsed after disembarking from a flight from the United States and died of heart attack in 2015.
