Harry Kane has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for January following an impressive start to the new year.
The 21-year-old scored five league goals in four games during January, scoring twice against both Chelsea and West Brom and one away at Crystal Palace.
Kane has nailed down a regular starting place at Spurs this term and has carried his impressive form into February. He scored a brace as Tottenham came from behind to beat Arsenal and scored one and made another in the defeat to Liverpool.
The Englishman’s performances have led to speculation he will receive a first senior international call-up for March’s European qualifier against Lithuania.
Meanwhile, Ronald Koeman becomes the first boss to be named Manager of the Month twice this season after getting Southampton’s top-four bid back on track following a brief blip in December.
