Hussaini Mairiga, a factional chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Kano State, has labeled President Muhammadu Buhari “a total failure.”
Mairiga voiced concern that after a year of the Buhari administration, there was nothing to show, adding that poverty in the country was exceptionally high.
According to Premium Times, Mr Mairiga said this on Monday in Kano.
He bemoaned that while a bag of rice now sold for N16, 000, prices of other essentials commodities had tripled.
He reminded Mr. Buhari of his campaign promises, adding that the President should stop deceiving Nigerians that the country had no money.
According to Mairiga, if Buhari does not turn things around soon enough, Nigerians would soon begin to die of hunger on the streets.
