After being convicted and found guilty last year in December, Tory Lanez has reportedly filed for a new trial over the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case.
While facing a potential 21-years sentencing, the rapper’s lawyers have claimed that the judges who preceded over the case had a ‘miscarriage of justice’, stating that some mistakes were made in the guilt verdict.
Recall that both artists had a thing and sometimes back in July 2020, Tory Lanez shot the female rapper, Megan, in the leg after an argument in a pool party at Hollywood Hills, thereafter where he was charged with three felony cases.
Tory Lanez in October 2022 was later charged with shooting Megan Thee Stallion.
The artist is currently scheduled for sentencing next month, April, where he faces a potential 21 year imprisonment.
