A Ghanaian pastor based in Toronto, Canada, impregnated a church member mere two years after being gifted a private jet by the church
Pastors have been getting a bit of bad rep following reports of some shady activities that have plagued them and churches.
The ‘Prophet’ tried to keep his identity secret in the paternity case stating that his public image could be irreparably damaged if this case came out and could also hurt him financially.
An Ontario judge deemed this defence too flimsy to be given any considerable regard by the court and therefore it was rejected.
Ontario Superior Court Justice Fred Myers made the ruling on Tuesday and dismissed a request by the ‘prophet’ Martin Kofi Danso to extend a publication ban and sealing order on a court file related to allegations that he fathered a child with former congregant Chris-Ann Bartley.

Normally these publication bans are made in relation to the children involved to protect them and their identity, but Danso tried to use it to protect his financial interests
The member who was reportedly impregnated through her lawyers, spoke to the Star and said that a DNA test has since confirmed Danso is the father of her baby boy, who is now 6 months old.
During the hearing, the Prophet claimed that he had never slept with Bartley, but with the paternity test showing that he is the father of the boy, it brings his claim into question.
