Top 3 Places Nigerians Are Most Likely To Travel To – Report

A new report released by the British Airways has indicated that most Nigerians choose their choice of travel locations based on sentiments.

The survey conducted by the British Airways with over 2,000 respondents in 10 countries revealed that less than half of the respondents, 47 percent, regard travel as one of the most important things to achieve in 2017.

The report indicated that Nigerians less likely consider traveling as essential compared to other countries as 41% of Nigerians consider the luxury as a priority.

Topping the list are Indians who are 70 percent more likely to travel this year followed by Chinese and Emiratis at 61 percent and 58 percent respectively.

The survey also reported that celebrity choice locations do not influence the travel choice of Nigerians as only 32 percent of Nigerians are most likely to be influenced by celebrity affirmation of a travel location.

The survey further reveals that Nigerians are most likely to travel to New York, London and Paris as the three choice locations tops the list of destinations by 37 percent, 36 percent and 33 percent respectively.

Nigerians according to the survey are most likely to learn a new language to facilitate their travel as 63% of Nigerians voted Okay to learn new languages with French topping the list at 73 percent vote amongst respondents.

Nigerians however revealed that travel memories are part of the factors considered in choosing a travel location as 69 percent of Nigerians revealed that their travels are centered on the memories.
