Renowned Nollywood actress and politician, Tonto Dikeh, has taken a firm stance against singer and music executive, Naira Marley, in the wake of his recent comments regarding the tragic passing of his former protege, Mohbad.
Naira Marley had remained silent for a few days after the news of Mohbad’s death, only posting a heartbreak emoji on his Instastory. However, when he finally spoke, he raised several inquiries about the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s demise. He questioned the events leading up to the singer’s passing, the ailment he was diagnosed with before receiving an injection, and why an autopsy was not conducted after his death.
This stance did not sit well with Tonto Dikeh, who took to her Instastory to voice her criticism. She pointed out that Naira Marley had been repeatedly called out by the late singer for allegedly sending people to harass and assault him. Before Mohbad’s untimely death, he had explicitly stated that Naira Marley should be held accountable if anything happened to him.
Expressing her disapproval, Tonto Dikeh lambasted Naira Marley for feigning innocence when he could be linked to the case. She scolded him for attempting to mislead her and the Nigerian public.
In her own words,
“Is Naira Marley playing with us?
What is that letter you posted? Who are you asking questions to? Where is Larry Sam, the person you sent to frustrate Mohbad with cutlasses (and people were thinking it was a cane… Look closely)… I will suggest you better SHUT UP (you look prettier with your mouth closed anyway) and keep dancing on Snapchat while we seek justice.
The last thing you want to do is take Mohbad’s fans for fools.”
