The senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district in the National Assembly, Sen. Shehu Sani has described the state’s Local Government election scheduled for today as a “charade”.
He made this known in a Facebook message on Saturday morning.
Sani described the exercise as a “comical drama scripted, produced and directed by the state government.”
The senator further accused the State Government under Mallam Nasir el-Rufai of plotting to write the result of the purported election inside ” hotel rooms”.
He said, “The Local Government election about to commence in Kaduna is nothing but a charade. Its a comical drama scripted, produced and directed by the state Government. If APC members cannot get justice from APC Government, what is a non APC member expecting. The election will go the way of the ‘APC ward congresses’. Writing list in HOTEL ROOMS and announcing winners. Shame.”
Sani and the two other senators from the state, Suleiman Hunkuyi and Danjuma Laah, are locked in a bitter tussle with El-Rufai over the control of the APC machinery in the state.
