The Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, has revealed what peeves him about the job.
Tijani, whose appointment has been praised by the private sector, inadvertently made the revelation during an interaction with an X user.
The X user was reacting to a policy statement by the minister.
“Lmao, make I bend if I ever trust the words of many politicians in naija. They always have lofty ideas but zero implementation. I hope & pray he is able to at least implement some of the ideas he is bringing up cos we have seen loftier talk with zero impact,” the X user, @sonofman09, wrote.
An apparently irritated Tijani berated the poster.
He wrote, “The first thing you learn once you accept any public leadership position in Nigeria. The world immediately classifies you as a PEP (Politically Exposed Person), your freedom to the gutter and the name you worked hard for gets immediately rubbished.
“However, it will always be worth everything to contribute to moving the needle for #Nigeria. No better cause!” he said.
