Senate president, Dr Bukola Saraki has intervened in the ongoing row between Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Senator Dino Melaye.
Saraki reportedly met with both Tinubu and Melaye separately for a period of two hours each, according to The Vanguard.
It will be recalled that Senator Tinubu, who represents the Lagos central senatorial district in the Senate, a few days wrote a letter to the Senate president and the national chairman of the APC concerning the improper behaviour of Melaye during the closed-door of the Nigerian Senate.
Her letters, separately delivered to Saraki, and APC chairman, expressed worry that the Senate had not taken action to address Melaye’s threat to her.
Senator Tinubu had previously written a letter to the acting inspector general of Police asking for “adequate security” over threats to her life.
This is coming following alleged threats made by Senator Melaye on Senator Tinubu.
