The Time For Fayose To Commit Suicide Has Come – APC

2 Min Read

The ruling political platform in the country, All Progressive Congress, APC, has slammed the Ekiti State Governor stating that the time for him to commit suicide has come.

The reaction comes following the return of the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari from the United Kingdom after he spent over 100 days outside the country on an extended medical vacation.

The Ekiti state chapter of APC and the coalition of civil society groups, took to the streets to celebrate the return of the president on Monday and used the avenue to blast the state governor who has been a staunch critic of the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

In a statement made available, the coalition recalled the state governor claiming that the Nigerian president was on life support and had lost his basic senses of hearing and speech.

The Acting Chairman of the party in the state, Mrs. Kemi Olaleye, during the rally stated that God has indeed shamed those wishing death upon the president.

She further called on the state governor to fulfil his promise of committing suicide if the President returns into the country hale and hearty.

She said during the rally: “Mr Fayose has turned himself to propaganda-in-chief , but we are happy that God has shamed those who thought President Buhari won’t return alive. With this rally, the end has come to Governor Fayose’s reign in Ekiti.

“The good people of this state are not in support of Fayose’s action , because we are cultured and compassionate people. Look at the Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Nyesom Wike, he went to Abuja to welcome the president back to Nigeria.

“That was a show of maturity, why was our governor not learning from this? We are solidly behind Pres. Buhari even beyond 2019. And we are pleading with Nigerians to discountenance whatever Fayose has been saying against the president. He was not speaking for us, he only spoke for himself.”
