The city of Victoria Island in Lagos State witnessed tight security on Friday as artists perform at AFRIMA Music Village, Bar Beach.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that there was heavy deployment of security personnel in and around the music village at Bar Beach.
Security personnel were also deployed in strategic locations to protect lives and property during the show.
Nigerian Police, Lagos Task force officers, State Security Square (SSS), Nigeria Army, Nigeria Civil Defence and Neighborhood Watch were stationed around the premises.
The venue of the show, Bar Beach, also witnessed heavy presence of Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) and Ambulance attendance, who surrounded the premises.
However, fun-seekers and visitors who trooped to the event had unhindered access to the performing ground.
While that was going on, security personnel were seen patrolling the surrounding to guard against any eventuality.
Mr Henry Alade, one of the organisers, told NAN that adequate security had been arranged ahead of the event.
Alade said “it is going to be fun and fun tonight”.
He added that over 40 Artists were expected to perform tonight. (NAN)
