Throwback: Ben Murray-Bruce shares photo from his secondary school days

2 Min Read

Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has shared his Secondary school days photo. Murray-Bruce was said to have taken  the photo in 1974 when he was a student of St. Gregory’s College, Lagos. He was the senior prefect at the time.

See the picture below:

Meanwhile,  Murray-Bruce reiterated his call for Nigeria to adopt electric cars and phase out use of fossil-fuel cars. He made the appeal in a video he shared to his verified Twitter handle on Monday.Recall that the Senate penultimate week rejected a bill initiated by Murray-Bruce which sought to phase out importation of fossil-fuel cars into Nigeria by 2035.

But in the video, the senator said his colleagues were dragging the country back by not passing the bill. According to her, “Our politicians are moving the country in the opposite direction. Nigeria is the laughing stock in the world because of my colleagues who cannot function in the 21st Century.”

Speaking about the electric car, Murray-Bruce said, “An electric car is very efficient; as you are driving, it tells you how many miles you have left. He said: “(On) full charge, it takes you about 100 miles. Can you see how simple it is? But my colleagues who are in the Stone Age can’t understand it. Whether they like it or not, the world is moving towards electric cars.”
