Thread of Life: Speculation Over Contents Of Tinubu’s Buillion Van Go Viral

2 Min Read

There have been a lot of speculations on the contents of the two bullion vans sighted at the Bourdillon, Ikoyi home of National leader of All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

The speculation brewed on Twitter due to  the  failure of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to go after Tinubu over the bullion vans laden with alleged cash in his residence.

The Twitter brawl started when a social media user known as Eniola Opeyemi said: ” come to think of it, what is the assurance that the  bullan van that was spotted at Tinubu’s house was carrying money.”

Meanwhile, barely 48 hours after Deji Adeyanju, Nigerian Human Activist wrote a petition to  the commission, concerning the Bullion Vans found in the Ikoyi residence of APC national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party reacted.

APC spokesperson in Lagos, Hon. Abiodun Salami in  dismissed the petition, challenging them to come up with proof that Asiwaju had stolen any money.

Recall last week, Segun Awosanya better known as Segalink engaged EFCC in a Twitter brawl over Tinubu’s bullion vans.

According to Segalink, EFCC are selective in the types of financial crimes they prosecute, following the arrest of 70 alleged Yahoo boys at a popular nightclub in Osogbo.

Segalink said the EFCC could not question Tinubu over his bullion vans but was quick to run after yahoo boys.

EFCC then challenged Segalink to write a petition against the APC if he was that concerned about the bullion  vans.
