Torrus, an upcoming artiste whose performance was disparaged by Nigerian Idol judge, Seyi Shay on Sunday, has reacted.
In a comment that has attracted widespread criticism, Seyi Shay told the 17-year-old: “Somebody lied to you and told you to come and audition, and that person, you should go back and tell them they’re not your friends because that was not good audition.
“Oh, you have a good talking voice, and it comes out in your singing voice, but your performance, terrible. You’re never going to make money being a singer.”
The young singer walked off the stage looking downcast.
However, Torrus later took to his Twitter handle @ayotorrus to react to the judge’s disparaging comment.
“This broke me Emotionally and Psychologically, but God got me!!” he wrote.
