The Lagos State Government has said it would continue emergency repairs of the ever-busy Third Mainland Bridge with the closure of Iyana Oworonshoki-Adeniji Adele bound by 11 am on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
The state government stated this in a statement shared via its X handle on Saturday.
“The closure is for effective repairs of the entire section of the bridge and is part of the ongoing work that started in November, focusing on fixing the ramps, and now, the remaining parts of the bridge will also be repaired,” the statement read in part.
The statement said that for ease of commuting, the bridge would be open for Mainland to Island traffic from 12 am to 12 noon while those that intend to come from the island are advised to use the Eko Bridge.
“Conversely, from 12 am to 12 noon, motorists will be able to access the bridge from the Island to the Mainland while those that want to go from Mainland to the Island will have to use Eko Bridge,” the statement read.
