Special Assistant to the President on New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi has condemned the Nigerian Police Force for shooting at peaceful EndSARS protesters in Surulere, Lagos on Monday.
He stated this in a tweet shortly after at least one protester was reported killed in the shooting at Surulere.
Policemen monitoring the protesters were said to have fired live rounds to disperse the crowd and two of the protesters were hit.
One of them has reportedly died from the gunshot wound sustained.
Photos and videos of the incident have been circulating on social media.

Reacting to the shooting, Ogunlesi said, “The police shootings in Lagos this afternoon (at least one person reported dead) are tragic and condemnable.
“There is no excuse for shooting anything (not to talk of live bullets) at peaceful protesters.
“The Police MUST find the shooters and make them face justice in full.”
