Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has said Nigeria’s problem is a lack of honest and credible leaders.
Speaking at a book presentation by former governor of Enugu state, Sullivan Chime, Osinbajo said that that talk of tribal bias and so on being Nigeria’s problem is wrong, but rather, leaders that aren’t honest.
“The problem of our country is finding forthright men in positions of authority,”

The Vice President said that the ethnic stick had long been used as a stick to beat the country with and that it was not true, but is rather a fabrication by some leaders who want to cause a division within the country
The second-in-command also took some time to laud the former Enugu governor stating that Sullivan Chime was a leader who tried to effect change during his time.
He called on political office holders to discharge their responsibilities with good conscience and responsibility.
Osinbajo also noted that he believes that the nation would be a better place if people thought of the welfare of the people and the people’s futures rather than fixating on how to win upcoming elections, something that seems to be happening now.
He said: “At the end of the day, integrity pays and I congratulate Chime for the successes he recorded during his time as governor,”
