Senior Pastor of House On The Rock, Pastor Paul Adefarasin has extended an unreserved apology to the Lagos State Government after the congregation at ‘The Experience’ music concert booed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s representative on Friday night.
Adefarasin’s church hosts the popular annual gospel music concert.
Footage that emerged on social media showed the governor’s representative giving his speech at this year’s event held at the House on the Rock Cathedral, Lekki when the jeering crowd began to heckle him continuously.
Reacting, Adefarasin chided the crowd for its unruly behaviour, noting that it was unscriptural.
He advised the youth to pray for the nation’s leaders.
“I must honestly caution that we must pray for those who lead us that we may dwell peacefully in the land
“You must never disrespect authority because they beat the sword.
“I apologise to the leaders of Lagos state on your behalf,” the pastor said.
