Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has mocked former factional National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Ali Modu-Sheriff for defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
During the PDP leadership tussle between Ahmed Makarfi and Modu-Sheriff, Fani-Kayode had accused Modu-Sheriff of trying to destabilise PDP allegedly on the instruction of paymasters in APC.
Reacting to the defection via his verified Twitter handle on Friday morning, Fani-Kayode said he has been vindicated.
He said, “Thank God that the reprehensible reprobate and unconciable filth called Ali Modu Sheriff has finally crawled back to the hole that he came from.
His name is synonomous with treachery and betrayal.
History will savage him and posterity will strip him bare and crush him.”
Modu-Sheriff’s deputy in the PDP, Dr Cairo Ojuogho had been spotted at the APC National Secretariat on Wednesday, sparking talk of an imminent defection.
Also, the National Publicity Secretary of APC, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, admitted that Modu-Sheriff had attempted to rejoin the party.
However, he said that the former Borno State Governor would have to rejoin the party from the Ward Level, adding that the party does not accept defections at its National Headquarters in Ahuja.
