While many couples would spend a fortune on therapy to bring more intimacy into their relationship, American actor Terry Crews found a more novel way to do it.
The 47-year-old has revealed that he and wife Rebecca King-Crews abstained from sex for 90 days to strengthen their relationship and it left him ‘more in love’ and ‘more turned on’ than ever.
The actor famous for his roles in TV series Everybody hates Chris and the Expendables film series told HuffPost Live this week: ’90 days – no sex, all relationship, all talk, all cuddle. I found that at the end of that 90 days… I knew who she was, and it wasn’t about “Let’s go out because I know I’m gonna get some sex later.” It was like, “Let’s go because I want to talk to you. I want to know you”.
Wise words indeed from the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star who added ‘every man has a desire for intimacy.
‘You’re not looking for porn. You’re looking for someone to know you and love you at the same time,’ he explained. That’s all you want – every man out there. But he’s scared sometimes. That’s why men put up big fronts.’
Terry married Rebecca, a former beauty queen, in 1990 and they have five children together; daughters Azriel, Tera, Wynfrey and Naomi and son Isaiah.
