Teenage Girl Stabs Father To Death in Delta

A 14 year old girl has been arrested by men of the Nigeria Police force for allegedly stabbing her father to death after being disciplined.

The Delta state command of the Nigeria Police said the 14 year old committed the crime at the cable point area in Asaba, the capital of Delta state.

According to the Punch Newspaper, the murder appeared to have been an act of revenge on the part of the girl for what had transpired earlier in the day.

Apparently her father had her disciplined for an offence the teenager had committed before calling it a night.

It was gathered that the girl, who was unhappy with the development, waited until he was asleep before stabbing him to death with a knife.

Confirming the incident to the press, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Andrew Aniamaka, decried the rising rate of crime being committed by youths in Delta State.

Aniamaka said;

“I don’t have information if the deceased is the girl’s father. But all we know for now is that he was related to her. Imagine a small girl stabbing her relative to death. The other day, it was killing of a Delta State University student. Where are we heading to?’’

He further appealed to parents to continue monitoring their children and also advised ladies to be wary of the men they date.

Earlier in the week, a 300 level student of the Delta State University Abraka, who had been declared, missing was found dead four days after she went missing.

The Police swung into action and arrested several young boys in connection with the death; the boys were said to be yahoo boys and had killed the girl for ritual purposes.
