A teenage Indian Muslim girl has been killed in what was described as ‘honour killing’ in London.
The teenager was reportedly kidnapped, raped and subsequently killed by her abductors for dating an Arab man.
According to a court siting in London, the teenager identified as Celine Dookhran, 19, was found stuffed into a fridge with her throat slit.
A second woman was also reported to have been attacked from her hospital bed in the ‘honour killing’ act.
The two women attacked were reported to have been bound, gagged and kidnapped by unknown men in mask on Wednesday and were take to a house in Kingston-upon-Thames, south-west London, where they were assaulted leading to the killing of the teenager.
Two men have since been arrested in connection with the killing.
One Mujahid Arshid, 33, appeared as a suspect in the case before the court in London and was charged with murder, attempted murder, and two counts of rape and kidnap.
Another suspect, Vincent Tappu, 28, of Acton, west London, also appeared before the court on Monday.
The Tory MP, Nusrat Ghani, has since proposed a Bill banning ‘honour killing’.
