A fuel tanker, which crashed on Wednesday while conveying fuel to Malawi from Port city, exploded on Thursday leaving at least 73 people dead and 110 injured.
Some of the people affected were trying to steal fuel from the tank despite the obvious danger of explosion.
The government of Mozambique, released a statement confirming the incident and warned citizens about going close to a fallen petrol tank to scoop fuel because the outcome is usually disastrous.
