Who are the choreographers you look up to?

I look up to choreographers like Mia Michaels and Sonya Taye

Who have you worked with?

I have worked with a couple of renowned dancers and dance companies in and out of Nigeria. I have worked with Christopher Huggins of the Alvin Ailey dance company New York, Anne Marie Poras and Bruno Agatti of Darc in France, the list goes on and on…

What do you have to say about the industry?

Well dance is growing, as we have lots of dancers and choreographers stepping out to do the things that will enable ‘DANCE’ as an entertainment medium to have a part in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Also most dancers/choreographers and or instructors have come to realize that they have to train to develop their art rather than rely on mere potential. Therefore there are studios and dance companies for aspiring dancers and i believe this is for the development and acceptance of dance in the industry and country respectively. Looking back i will say we are moving forward, though we have a long way to go as to meeting the international standard.

What was your motivation?

Since I was a child, I always wanted to be a performer in either music or dance but as I grew older I chose dance as a major……..

What inspires you?

I get inspired by a lot of things around me from day to day activities, people, colour’s and all sorts…….
