Welsh club Swansea City has announced the appointment of Leon Britton as new caretaker manager to take the struggling club out of relegation.
The 35-year-old player and coach takes over from Paul Clement who was shown the exit door on Monday.
He will be assisted by under-23 coach Cameron Toshack, whose team has been more successful this season.
Britton joined Swansea City on a permanent deal in 2003 after a loan spell and went ahead to play over 270 games for the team.
He joined Sheffield United in the summer of 2010, but transferred back to Swansea in January 2011.
