Four young men suspected to be sellers of decomposed meat have been arrested by the Enugu state Police Command.
David Nwafor, Nnamdi Nwafor and Amechi Nwaogu and Darlington Agu are currently been interrogated by the Police after the Police received intelligence report on their dealership in selling decomposed meats to the unsuspecting public.
According to reports, Darlington was the one who took the others to the location where they obtained the dead animals. Darlington took the rest of the gang on his motorcycle.
David Nwafor, Nnamdi Nwafor and Amechi Nwaogu hail from the same Mbite/Ihuobodo Awgu Local Government Area while Darlington Agu hails from Ihe village
The suspects who connived with some cold room operators, were arrested at Agbogugu area of Enugu by Police officers of Mbanabo Division.
Superintendent Police Ebere Amaraizu who is the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) made this disclosure to newsmen.

According to Amaraizu, the suspects were being interrogated on their acts of crime.
“The arrest of the suspects also led to the recovery of dead and decomposing meat which they usually sell to the unsuspecting members of the public.
The Commissioner of Police , Ahmad Abdur-Rahman, has directed a full-scale investigation in relation to the alleged nefarious activities of the suspects just as suspects are helping the operatives in their investigations”
