Arowofela Olufemi, a suspect being investigated for fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), is dead.
The suspect, who was in the custody of the EFCC in Lagos, reportedly complained of chest pains on Saturday evening and was rushed to a nearby Military Hospital. He died before he could be treated by a doctor.
While the cause of death has still not been determined, his remains were deposited at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital’s mortuary.

He was arrested while trying to cash stolen dividend warrants, Sahara Reporters reported.
The suspect was said to have been granted administrative bail, but was still in EFCC custody pending the time he will be able to produce a surety to perfect his bail condition.
