The Supreme Court has ruled that the Code of Conduct Tribunal should immediately cease its action against Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
The Supreme Court ordered that the CCT “tarry a while” pending the conclusion of an appeal brought before it by the Senate President.
The 13 count charge brought against Mr. Saraki by the CCT had been unsuccessfully challenged at two high courts and a court of appeal by Saraki who is challenging the competence of the CCT to hear the charges against him.
The Supreme Court said that the matter would be attended to speedily.
