2 Min Read

Super Falcons of Nigeria are super confident that the team will dominate Africa and reclaim the  African Women’s Championship scheduled to hold in Namibia from October 11 to 25.

Former Falconet star, Asisat Oshoala who emerged the 2014 FIFA U20 World Cup Most Valuable Player and thereafter, invited to the senior team expressed her desire to claim her first senior title in the forthcoming tournament.
The striker via a statement released by the media officer for the team, Gracious Akujobi said, “We know the task ahead of us in Namibia is not going to be easy but
we are determined to win the cup and go back to the World Cup in Canada as African champions.”

Meanwhile, the Confederation of African Football has given September 30 as the deadline for coach Edwin Okon to submit 21 players lists to represent the National team.

Coach Edwin admitted to finding it difficult to select the final 21 players to make the cut.
According to him, all the players are in very good shape.

The statement released by Gracious Akujobi confirmed the anticipated list which is expected to be out before the end of today.

“The fight to make the final 21-member list for the AWC is heating up thereby giving the coaches selection problems even before the arrival of the foreign-based,” it read.
