Abdullahi Mansur, the Assistant Coach of the Falconets, on Tuesday described Nigeria’s defence as “not so spectacular’’ in their 0-2 friendly match loss to Serbia.
Mansur told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the defence and midfield failed to check the incursions of Serbian strikers.
“Our defence and midfield were not spectacular at all, even though the result was not so bad because it was a warm-up match,” the coach said.
He however pointed out that there were more friendly matches ahead for the team, adding “we will use those matches to make amends’’.
NAN reports that Nigeria had on Friday defeated Poland 1-0 in Warsaw in a friendly too.
Today’s match is one of the many friendly matches lined up for the super Eagles ahead of the World Cup in Russia.(NAN)
