Subscribers who opted for the Spectranet ISP have taken to social media to vent their complaints after the company increased tariffs by as much as 50%.
The company had made the announcement of the price increase over a month ago so as to ease its subscribers into the new regime, but many disgruntled subscribers are vexed with the new prices.
One subscriber said, “I used to pay 12,000 for 40GB and the service is really poor. Connectivity is only achieved about 55% of the time, and I buy data on my Etisalat phone to compensate for downtime. But now they’ve jacked the prices up to 18,000, I am considering getting a SMILE device because their own connectivity and speed is better.”
Another subscriber said, “I might as well break the useless device because it does not pay me at this outrageous cost to be using Spectranet again. I thought they were the pocket friendly ISP but they’re just interested in profits. I’m sure they will soon blame it on the dollar.”
