Higher institutions, whether public or private are recognized to provide relative freedom of rights, even though the rights may be restricted to some extent in private higher institutions.
Covenant university, one of the pioneer private universities is well known as being a premium citadel of knowledge as well as a school high on discipline. This works out to their advantage as the school churns out some of the finest graduates in the country since its inception in 2002.
However, there has allegedly been a spiked increase in physical abuse cases in the school, the latest one being reported by online sources where an Assistant Chaplain reportedly slapped a student for using an Ipad in the church on Sunday 5th of March.
In a series of incidents reported by the twitter account @AHoeStory, the anonymous writer spoke physical abuse the students were experiencing in the schools in the hands of the lecturers and other officials.
