Tragedy marred the recent Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examinations as one of the students billed to write the exam died in an accident while travelling to her exam centre.
While other families are rejoicing over the released results of the exam, the family of Mr. Aker from Katsina-Ala in Benue State was thrown into deep mourning as they lost their daughter on the day she was supposed to write her papers.
Miss. Aker Nguyilan was killed in a fatal accident while travelling to write the JAMB exam.
The young woman was posted to an exam centre far from her home and had to travel for the exercise, losing her life in the process.
Nigerians had complained about the indiscriminate posting of secondary school students to far flung places to write their examination in order to checkmate exam malpractice.
Several Nigerians including human rights activist Segun Awosanya @segalink had also declared that JAMB should be held responsible if anything happened to students posted to far flung places.
May God give her family the strength to bear this loss.
