Stop using Workers’ Salaries to pay for Beautification of Bus-Stops- APC Youths tell Mimiko

2 Min Read

A Group, APC Youth League (AYL) Ondo State Coordinate has urged the state governor, Dr. Segun Mimiko to pay workers salaries instead of his late hour beautification of roundabouts and bus stops in Akure Metropolis as the only way he can be trusted and respected as a successful Governor after seven  and half wasteful years.

In a statement made available to journalists in Akure, the  State Capital of Ondo State on Saturday by the Group’s Co-ordinator, Comrade Adebowale Akinlosotu, the group appealed to the state government to clear the seven-month salary arrears of the state workers to reduce the hardship in the state instead of embarking on this window dressing and cosmetic programme that has no relevance to the people’s well-being.

The group opined that such late hour painting of bus stops and roundabouts without paying an outstanding salary of the civil servants  running into seven months now is wicked, callous, heartless, insensitive  on the part of the self-acclaimed Caring Heart Government.

The Group further called the attention of the State House of Assembly to take necessary steps on the actions of the Governor who alleged that the state government was broke and unable to pay workers’ salary.

The Group also appealed to the EFCC to beam their searchlight on Ondo State Government and Mimiko in order to know why some projects approved over seven years ago  are yet to be completed.
