2 Min Read

Daughter of the recently dethroned Emir of Kano, Khadija Sanusi, has lashed back at some of her fans, asking them to stop sending condolences messages to her over her father’s dethronement.

According to the PUNCH, Khadija wrote in a thread of tweets which have now been deleted, in response to her followers’ comments that;

“Can you people please stop sending me ‘Innallillahi wa Inna ilayhir raji’un’ (from God we came, to God we shall return) and ‘my condolences’? We did not die.

“Explain to me how I’ve been the one consoling my friends. I’m like ‘I’m sorry.’ Allah ne yaso. Insha Allah hakan yaafi alheri. (That’s his God wants it to happen. By God’s grace, it will be for good.) Just expect an invoice because I’m charging for these therapy sessions.”

Recall that The Herald reported that Governor Ganduje of Kano state dethroned the Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi II over offences described as disrespect to the office of the governor and other government agencies.

Announcing the dethronement of the first-class monarch, the secretary to the state government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji said the removal was with immediate effect.
