It’s no news that the newly elected Nigeria Football Federation executive committee do not want Stephen Keshi to continue coaching the Eagles. They finally came to a consensus to let him go in a meeting they had on Thursday after Nigeria’s victory.
Keshi had earlier bragged about other job offers coming to him from other countries; he spoke to NTANews after the sack,
“It’s about time for me to move on my dear. This is not the end of the world for me,” he said.
PunchNG meanwhile published on Friday that Samson Siasia is the newly appointed coach to replace Keshi’s. This is contrary to what has been on air.
We had learnt Amodu Shuaibu and a consortium of coaches were appointed to replace Keshi and his back-room coaches.
PunchNG claimed a communiqué released by NFF “appointed Siasia as the new Head Coach of the U-23 men’s team. He will be
assisted by Fatai Amoo, while the Technical and Development will recommend the other members of the crew.”
