After rescuing two accident victims on his way to a function, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has cautioned road users against actions that can expose them to road accidents.
The governor rescued two men involved in an accident on a commercial motorcycle on Sunday, along the Enugwukwu road, Channels reports.
He said commercial cyclists must refrain from actions that could endanger themselves, passengers and other road users while plying their trade.
Also, he said that cyclists must learn to use crash helmets, as it would reduce the seriousness of an accident if they are involved in one.
According to Channels, quoting eyewitnesses, the accident was caused by over-speeding, when the motorcycle had a head-on collision with a car.
As a result, the rider and his passenger sustained multiple fractures and bruises.
Obiano was said to have directed the ambulance in his convoy to rescue the two men.
