Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has issued a stern warning to his fans, urging them to stop comparing him to singer Wizkid. During a recent Instagram live session, Speed Darlington expressed his displeasure over the constant comparisons, stating that he and Wizkid have never met despite being in the industry for almost eight years.
The ‘Akpi’ crooner emphasized that he has been in the music industry since May 16, 2015, and has never had a personal encounter with Wizkid, except for a brief acknowledgement in New York when Wizkid posted one of his songs.
Speed Darlington’s outburst was in response to fans who have been claiming that he is better than the Starboy boss. He urged his fans to stop the comparison, saying, “Why are people telling me that I am better than Wizkid? How do I and Wizkid correlate? Please, stop the comparison.”
It appears that Speed Darlington is determined to carve out his own unique identity in the music industry, without being constantly compared to other artists.
