Controversial rapper Speed Darlington has revealed that he has been arrested 19 times and detained five times. The rapper made this disclosure in a recent freestyle video shared on his social media page.
In the video, Speed Darlington raps about his experiences with law enforcement, stating, “5 lockups, 19 arrests, I get game but I no dey hear, when you hear this one, na Kuje.”
This is not the first time Speed Darlington has had a run-in with the law. He was arrested twice in October and November 2024, after making comments about Burna Boy’s relationship with American music executive Sean Combs, also known as Diddy.
Speed Darlington was detained at the Kuje Correctional Facility but was released on January 21st, after being granted bail by a Federal High Court in Abuja. Following his release, he alleged that he narrowly escaped an assassination attempt on his way home from a club in Lagos.
