Some 32 people have died after being immunised in recent weeks but health authorities said they have found nothing to directly link the vaccine to the deaths, according to Yonhap.
Chung said the authorities should investigate the causal relationship and make the results public.
He also offered condolences to the victims’ families.
The Seoul Government has said the immunisation programme will continue.
The country had been pushing for free flu vaccines for some 19 million people to avoid another disease epidemic as it continues to manage the novel coronavirus.
