Someone whose dad is from Niger Republic shouldn’t attack Atiku – Fani-Kayode shades Buhari

Fani-Kayode

Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has railed against President Muhammadu Buhari after the All Progressives Congress (APC) accused PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of being a foreigner.

Replying to Atiku and PDP’s election petition challenging President Muhammadu Buhari and APC’s victory in the February 23 presidential election, the ruling party averred that Atiku was born on November 25, 1946 in Jada, Adamawa, in Northern Cameroon and was therefore a citizen of Cameroon and not a Nigerian by birth.

The party said Atiku was therefore not qualified to contest for the presidency of Nigeria.

The APC further claimed through its counsel, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), that since Atiku was not qualified to contest, the 11.1 million votes recorded in favor of the two petitioners (Atiku and PDP) should be voided and considered as wasted votes.

But Fani-Kayode said, “When a non-Nigerian accuses a bona fide Nigerian of being a foreigner you begin to appreciate why those that have insisted on calling Nigeria a zoo may have a point.

“It is only in Nigeria that a man whose father was from Niger Republic can accuse others of being foreigners!”
